Instructions on how to add your DTW email to Microsoft Office Outlook
If you have Microsoft Office installed on your Laptop or Computer, you may be using the Outlook Email Application and want to add your DTW email address to there to read and write emails too.
But please note, this is NOT for outlook.com which is a website, not an application. You can only use outlook.com to read Microsoft email system emails (EG outlook.com, hotmail.com) and you cannot view your DTW emails via the outlook.com website. If you wish to view your emails via a browser, use the webmail function of the DTW website
Here’s the steps to take.
1. In Outlook, click "File"

2. Click "Add Account"

3. Enter your DTW email address

4. Click "IMAP"

5. Incoming/Outgoing Mail: Enter the details below
Incoming Mail
- Server: mail.dementiatogetherwirral.org
- Port: 993
- Encryption method: SSL/TLS
- Check “Require logon using SPA
Outgoing Mail
- Server: mail.dementiatogetherwirral.org
- Port: 465
- Encryption method: SSL/TLS
- Check “Require logon using SPA

6. Enter your password
Password: your email password (you should have changed this from the original randomly generated password)

7. The account should now be successfully added. Click "Done"

8. You can see your email inbox below your existing email addresses
