About Us

Dementia Together Wirral provides a social community for anyone affected by memory issues or dementia, with or without a diagnosis.
We host interesting and varied activities and events across the Wirral, where anyone living with dementia, and their cares or ex-carers, can get together with committed volunteers. Many of our volunteers have personal experience of dementia and can provide a supportive community, with the aim of relieving social isolation experienced by many of those affected by dementia.
Why not come along and join in the fun?

Our Events

We host a full calendar of events, which are published monthly. A sample of some of our events are provided below, or you can head over to our social media pages for more details.

Carr Farm Memory Café, Meols

Held on the last Tuesday of every month at Carr Farm from 10am – 12 noon, you can be assured of a warm welcome. Come and share our range of resources including old photos and memory boxes over a companionable coffee and cake.

Coffee Aroma Memory Café, Birkenhead

Join us on the 1st Monday of every month (10am – 12 Noon) for our Coffee Aroma Memory Café. Treat yourself to a cake and a cuppa and have a natter with Friends old and new.

Walking Group

Once a month our walking group get together for a convivial hour long stroll. Everyone’s welcome to join in (yes- canine companions too!).
Most of our routes are wheelchair friendly – we’ll let you know if they’re not.

Join Our Community

Our events are open to all, whether or not you have a formal diagnosis of dementia, and to carers and ex-cares.
We ask that carers attend our events with the person living with dementia, as we are unable to offer respite care at our activities.

To access our calendar of events, become a Member of Dementia Together Wirral, or as we prefer to say – become a Friend of Dementia Together Wirral. Becoming a Friend also provides you with access to all our activities and events, also our Activity Box scheme and regular updates in our Newsletter.

Volunteer With Us

Dementia Together Wirral is run by a group of dedicated, compassionate and caring volunteers.
Many have personal experience of caring for a loved one living with dementia, but this experience is not essential to become a volunteer.
If you would like to make a difference to the lives of those living with dementia, and if you have the time to commit to Dementia Together Wirral on an ongoing basis, please join us as a volunteer.
